What is PET and PETG ?
PET film and PETG film are both thermoplastic films made from different types of polyester. PET or polyethylene terephthalate, is a clear, strong, and light weight plastic that is commonly used for packaging food and beverages. PETG or polyethylene terephthalate glycol, is a modified version of PET that is more durable and impact-resistant.
PET is a general term for materials, which can be used as packaging film, disposable preservation box, mineral water bottle, cosmetic box, medical equipment, etc. It is a green and environmentally friendly material. PETG is a modified material for PET. When making PETG films, petg sheets, other G materials are added to modify the product, and how can different functional products be formed.
On the decorative material market, people usually call PETG to pet , In fact there are different. But for call, usually people does not strict differentiation,just call is general material name .
PET has no special treatment and can be blistered and wrapping onto other products.
PETG with special treatment, which process onto other products just can flat laminate onto boards by PUR laminating machine line .
